How this franchise mogul found herself again after epic career success through a clear brand message.

Alli Webb is an insatiable entrepreneur and the co-founder of many ventures. Most notably, she founded Drybar—the whimsical salon that made blowouts accessible and budget-friendly—in 2010 in Brentwood, CA. After scaling to 150+ locations and launching a product line, Alli and her partners sold Drybar to focus attention on new ventures. 

She has since co-founded Squeeze—a way better massage experience, Okay Humans—the future of face-to-face talk therapy, and Beckett & Quill—a high-end, not high-spend jewelry line. 

And, there was no telling what she’s got up her sleeve next.

Alli came to SimplyBe. with a clear hunger for the next step in her career, but a lack of clarity around what she ultimately wanted to be known for. 

Our goal then, was to create a platform to align her experience, passions and influence to positively impact and grow her audience and future businesses. We set out with the goal of transforming Alli from “Founder of Drybar” to a Thought Leader of the next generation.

Through SimplyBe.’s Thought Leader Program, we redefined the Alli Webb brand, crystalizing a personal brand message that could stand on its own. In synthesizing Alli’s story, we realized that what all of Alli’s ventures have in common—beyond Alli herself—is that they opt to make something we all need (or want)—blowouts, massages, therapy, little luxuries—more within reach. In this sense, each endeavor also reflects what Alli represents on a more personal level as a stay-at-home-mom turned mogul—she makes launching a business, following a dream, or frankly “just doing the damn thing”… within reach. 

Something any woman can do, as long as she’s willing to jump. And so, Alli’s new motto, “Jump, then think,” was born.

It was important that we created a color palette that was representative of subject matter at hand. In this case, the elements—earth, water and fire—which inform the three seasons (or Doshas) of Ayurveda—Vata, Pitta and Kapha—served as our primary inspiration.

In order to amplify her new message, our team created a comprehensive personal brand identity paired with a marketing strategy and tactical execution plan to bring her new brand to life. Our primary focus was creating and executing a razor-sharp PR plan to illustrate her new brand positioning and reach new audiences. 

Within a few months of active outreach, we secured Alli multiple features in Forbes—How This Multi-Million Dollar Business Owner Recreated Herself & Built New Businesses and Building Your Trust Muscle—totaling up to 100K  in advertising equivalency and a reach of 66M+ UVMs.

Finally, as her primary audiences across her ventures are on Instagram, our content strategy revolved around creating strategic content—both static and video—to support and promote her brand and businesses on this channel. For consistency in her new brand, our team also created a cohesive brand aesthetic in order to visually tie her story together across the platform through her video, feed and stories.
